Cookies are small values stored by your browser and sent with relevant website requests. Local storage keeps values in your browser between visits. Session storage keeps values for a browser tab and is normally cleared when that tab's session ends.

AWS Amplify and Amazon Cognito manage authentication storage used to recognize a signed-in session, support session renewal, and access protected features. Authentication cookie names and expiry depend on the provider configuration and session settings; some can persist between visits.

These values can be sensitive. Do not share authentication cookies or tokens. Blocking or clearing authentication storage may sign you out or prevent account features from working.

The application also uses the following browser storage:

• Theme preference: the theme local-storage entry remembers your selected appearance. It remains until changed or cleared through your browser.
• Sign-in return path: the nw-auth-return-path session-storage entry supports returning to a requested page after authentication. It is scoped to the current tab and may be cleared earlier when the authentication flow completes.
• Sidebar state: the sidebar_state cookie records the navigation sidebar's open or closed state when changed. It is set with a lifetime of 7 days and may be updated when the preference changes.

Not every value is present on every visit. Some are written only after you sign in, select a preference, or use a particular feature.

Features such as Google sign-in, Razorpay checkout, and portfolio connections involve external services. Those providers may use their own cookies or storage when you interact with their services. Their notices describe the purposes, durations, and controls that apply.

Clearing cookies alone may not clear local storage. Removing site data may reset preferences, interrupt sign-in, or require you to authenticate again. Your browser settings apply to that browser and device, not automatically to every device you use.
